ZAP cars are known for bright colors including one painted in Zebra stripes.

The amazing ZAP (Zero Air Pollution) all-electric vehicle company builds everything from micro cars to dirt bikes, scooters, and even high-performance vehicles. All of them are run by electric motors. In response to growing demand, the Santa Rosa, CA Company has added a first to its list of vehicles - the ZAP PK, a three-wheeled truck. Gasoline versions of these small trucks have been used as light service trucks in Europe for years. The new electric versions can be used inside and outside as a pickup truck, dump truck or a flatbed. They can transport larger and bulkier cargo with a top-speed of 40 mph. You won't find them on the expressway, but the ZAP PK can be useful for warehouses, city streets and rural areas. These handy vehicles offer a dependable 25 miles per charge and about 40 miles per day with brief charging sessions during stops. A solar panel option on Zap trucks can also add more distance on bright sunny days.
XEBRA(TM) PK transforms between pickup, dump truck, or flatbed for in-city delivery assignments, park maintenance, and other tasks where quiet service is required. Powered by six 12-volt batteries, these zero emission trucks weigh 1,820 lb and seat two people. It can tote payloads up to 500 lbs. at speeds up to 40 mph and operates for up to 25 miles/charge.
This is a working truck. In situations where owners have a daily need to transport larger items (up to 500 lbs.) for about 3 cents per mile, the ZAP is a bargain.

Newer battery packages available in the future are expected to increase the range of these trucks dramatically. ZAP has already confirmed that its truck traveled over 100 miles on a single charge in tests at a Danish laboratory using advanced lithium batteries with new battery management software. Zap CEO Steve Schneider recently cut a deal with Advanced Battery Technologies, to make these new batteries for all Zap vehicles.

Jessups is now a dealer for Zap vehicles and Jeff Jeffries is the man to see for sales.

ZAP trucks are ideal for local deliveries, hobby farms, industrial in-plant logistics. If you are in need of a short range, low-cost-per-mile, emissions free truck you may want to check them out here at Jessups.
